And To Cap It All Off...

I ran into Miss Francesca in Bryant Park the other day. I
recognized her from a distance, her prim pencil skirt and
blouse standing out against the green bistro chair. She was as
engrossed in her French novel as I was engrossed in her new
shoes. They were a pair of black and white cap toe Guess
pumps that I had been recently eyeing.
I caught her attention and pulled up a chair. We sat there
under our brimmed hats and discussed our thoughts on
everything from Proust to Prada. With our goodbyes, I
warned her that she would find me next time in cap toe shoes.
I teased that she would be angry that I had stolen her style.
"It's not stealing; it's borrowing," she laughed, and I headed
home to my computer to start my search immediately.
I found two pairs that will highlight my attire this upcoming
season, especially my favorite cocktail dresses. They'll be the
perfect night cap indeed.
