Get a Tan

I refuse to toss aside all of those pretty dresses that have
seen me through summer, so I have to be very clever. I
think I have finally come upon the perfect solution: By adding
a jacket and a pair of boots, I will take many of my summer
dresses into next season.
I am especially fond of tan boots. I had the fortunate chance
to try out my dress and boot combination when I spent last
weekend in San Francisco, where the ocean breezes make for
cool weather year-round. I matched a cerulean blue shirt
dress with tan boots and buff-colored jacket and felt perfectly
dressed for my favorite afternoon tea at the Palace and late
dinner in North Beach. My knit halter also proved a lovely
accompaniment to my boots when I took a drive out to Napa
the next morning. I pulled over on a dusty road to admire
the vineyards and put the top back up on my rented
convertible.
I had all the tan I needed.
