Take A Bow

I've shied away from bows in the past, believing they should
probably be relinquished to my childhood. Miss Francesca
proved me wrong, however. She recently brought a vintage
cocktail dress back to life with a pair of bow-heeled pumps in
a pretty pink. It was so obvious that they were more Shirley
MacLaine in "The Apartment" than Shirley Temple in "Baby
Take A Bow."
I've since learned that bow accents are best showcased with
just one accessory piece. However, I can see these heels
paired with a satin bowtie headband if the dress was a basic
black sheath.
And the look doesn't have to be an evening one. The yellow
bag below would doll up a tee and jeans any day.
