The Perfect Boyfriend

"Remember Patrick?" I asked Miss Francesca as we skirted
around Midtown on our way to the Fashion Week tents in
Bryant Park. "I've been thinking about him a lot lately."
"Hmmm," she mused. "Tall investment banker, lived in
Tribeca, couldn't stop talking about himself?"
"Exactly!" I remarked, carefully maneuvering the swarm of
people and keeping balance in my patent heels. "He had the
best sweaters. All cashmere and so soft. Whenever we were
at his place I would pull one from the closet and envelop
myself in it. They made me so happy that I could actually
block out his non-stop rants about hedge funds and how
perfectly he could time the market."
"Well, you don't need him around to have a perfect boyfriend
sweater." Miss Francesca pointed at the nearest store
window, my new boyfriend brilliantly on display.
