A Fun Formula
September 18, 2007
I loved my geometry class in high school. I admittedly found
proofs to be a fun challenge and didn't mind an evening of
determining angles. Audrey, on the other hand, shudders at
the memory, and has on occasion declared that even
calculating volume measurements for baking cookies reignites
her frustration.
So I wondered what she would think of the geometric-print
fashion pieces that I brought back to our apartment the other
day. They warmed in me a bit of nostalgia for the '80s attire
I watched my older sister wear, while still balancing a modern
look. The graphics were bold and undeniably fun. I had
picked up a geometric-print tee just for Audrey, and left it on
her bed as a surprise.
She loved it, math phobia and all. I've told her things would
have been different if she'd had me as a math tutor.
