I deeply enjoy the look of tiered fabrics. It speaks to my love
of all things luxurious.
I am always reminded of this fascination when I am in Miss
Francesca's apartment: the beauty of her delicate dust ruffle,
the layering of sheer curtains under heavy velvet panels. I
want to wrap myself in all of those pretty fabrics.
A tiered hemline can give the same effect, without adding too
much volume. Just a touch transforms the most basic of
evening dresses into a highly refined creation.
It brings me to tiers.
