A Dazzling Valentine

Miss Francesca and I were invited to the unveiling of the new
chandelier at The Delgado, one of our favorite downtown
bars. The owner, Umberto, was brimming with excitement,
serving his famous Valentine's Day cocktail, "The Cupcake,"
and reminding everyone that the large red velvet fabric tied
around the tremendous chandelier would be removed at
midnight.
When the clock struck twelve, he was true to his promise.
And the wait was well worth it. The glass dazzler was an
absolutely stunner. As I stood in admiration, Umberto's wife,
Patrizia, tapped me on the shoulder.
"He might have that one," she remarked, "but I have two."
She pulled her hair back to show off her Valentine's gift, a pair
of chandelier earrings worthy of envy.
