Every girl has her secret style weapon. The receptionist in
my office, Jennifer, loves her t-strap heels with tapered
skirts. My neighbor, Amber, must have a dozen fitted
cashmere sweaters in an array of colors.
Audrey's weapon of choice is the basic white tee. Her
collection runs the gamut of Hanes' boy crew-neck t-shirts to
high-end versions in soft brushed cotton. She wears them
with jeans, a blazer and riding boots on weekends and with
dressy trousers, a cardigan and pearls on evening outs. I
notice she opts for v-neck versions when she wants to show
off a special new necklace.
It's her signature piece, and it succeeds in making her feel
comfortable and pretty. And that's the real secret.
