"May I get you a cup of tea?" the receptionist asked, standing
before me with a welcoming smile. I looked up from my
Vogue and kindly denied.
I was waiting for Brigitte in the lobby of her fashion design
firm, excited to share lunch with her and hear about her new
line. Seconds later, I could hear her heels quickly tapping
down the long hallway. She kissed each of my cheeks and
pulled me close as we walked out the front door.
"Did you meet Victoria?" She asked, subtly nodding her head
towards the receptionist. I nodded yes.
"She'd going to run this place one day."
"Really?" I asked in surprise. "How do you know that?"
"She wears satin pumps to work. It's genius!"
